Private Investigations Are Using Social Websites and Search Engines

Private investigators use a variety of resources to conduct investigations. In most cases, private investigators will not use the Internet to conduct surveillance. Private investigators are also unlikely to use Google, Yahoo, or Bing to conduct business. Private investigators also generally avoid using social media websites as well.

The primary reason most investigators do not use these particular social media websites is because there is no way for them to determine the identity of a person they come into contact with online. Social networking websites such as MySpace and Facebook allow everyone to view each others profile including their names, addresses, phone numbers, emails and other pertinent information.

This means an investigator just has to spend a few minutes on a social networking website to get all of the information that they need. It is even possible for private investigators to obtain copies of email accounts from online dating websites.

However, there is good news for investigators who want to conduct surveillance online. There is now new software that allows private investigators to obtain records and information from a computer's hard drive without the user ever knowing.

This software is known as a remote pc access program (RPA). With the help of a RPA program, a private investigator can access any computer, anywhere in the world, at anytime. If you want to know whether your husband is cheating on you or not, you do not need to be at his office looking through his files.

If your husband is cheating, or you suspect your boyfriend is cheating, you can use one of the most popular ways of finding out. Private investigators have the technology and knowledge necessary to access social websites and search engines and learn information about men.

By using the computer's address book and contacting the websites the investigator believes he is communicating with the person, he can get valuable information. Private investigators use this information to help build their profile and put together a case.

However, there is one major problem with using this method. If the site is an old one and no longer active, or if you are attempting to discover whether your husband or boyfriend is cheating, you could find yourself in a situation you did not want to be in. The best way to avoid this is to contact an investigator well before you start worrying that your boyfriend or husband is cheating on you.

Social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace allow anyone to create an account. Once you log in, you can add friends and family, post pictures, comments, or just talk. This means anyone, including those you thought were good friends, are potential suspects.

The bottom line is, if someone you have friended on Facebook and MySpace uses any of the methods listed above, it is highly likely they are using a private investigator to follow up on their "stalking" online.
